AMI.  The Group is the market leader in smart metering. It has already installed more than 800 thousand smart meters. In some towns, all energy consumers have AMI meters, which facilitates for example continuous monitoring of energy consumption and better energy management. In the “Energa Living Lab” project, 300 households in Gdynia are testing even more advanced consumption management and electricity microproduction technologies

DSR. The Group intends to optimize the power available in the system by managing energy consumption. Enspirion, a Group company was the first entity in Poland to launch an offer rewarding business clients for shifting their energy consumption outside of the system’s peak hours. This scheme helps maintain stability of the National Electrical Power System. Over the last two years, Enspirion successfully conducted 16 demand reduction campaigns, reducing the active power demand of its clients by 3 GWh.  At present, the Group has the potential of about 575 MW that it can shift consumption of. The entire market potential is estimated at about 2 thousand MW.

SMART Toruń. In this project, the Group has built one of the largest photovoltaic power plants in Poland and has modernized distribution grids, installed 92 thousand remote reading meters (AMI) and installed smart street lights with LED sources. The project enables research into the possibilities of managing both consumption and production of electricity in contemporary sources.

EMobility. For several years now, Energa has been working on the development of services associated with the fast-growing electric car market. Under the project, it has made a fleet of electric vehicles available for testing and has built five charging stations in the Gdańsk Tri-City area. It is the first Polish company conducting comprehensive studies of preferences of Polish electric car users.  It has been analyzing readiness of the market and clients for e-mobility services. It has been testing various business models and, along with them, the price lists, market segmentations, service types etc. Soon, it will introduce a prototype of a car-sharing service. Together with the Warsaw University of Technology, the National Centre for Nuclear Research and the other energy groups, it has co-founded the E-mobility Center.

Energy storage. Energa-Operator has been working on creating the first energy storage in Poland. The storage facility with the capacity of 0.75 MW and 1.5 MWh will be developed in the vicinity of Puck as part of the Local Balancing Area (LOB). Combined with the planned 84 kW photovoltaic farm and the existing wind sources, biogas production plant and the consumers, LOB will allow the Group to test system and regulatory services.
