Energa included in the Respect Index for the second year running
Energa’s shares were included once again in the RESPECT index, which groups listed companies committed to social responsibility and managed according to the best standards. Energa, which has been listed on the Warsaw exchange for two years, thus confirms that it conducts its business activity in a responsible and sustainable manner. The new composition of the index will be in effect as of 21 December.
The Respect Index is a project carried out by the Warsaw Stock Exchange in cooperation with external partners. It serves the purpose of identifying the companies that operate in accordance with the highest management standards of corporate governance, information governance and investor relations and in terms of their environmental, social and employee-related activity. Additionally, being included in the index is a strong indicator of companies’ for investors. Since the qualifying criteria include liquidity, as in other stock market indices, the Respect Index is a valid reference for professional investors.
- This year, Energa significantly improved its environmental performance, mainly by introducing an environmental management system, but also in matters related to the ethical side of the business or management of the risk of abuses – stated Roman Piątkowski, President of the Energa SA Management Board.
