The Management Board of ENERGA SA („Company") in addition to the current report No. 16/2015 of 6 October 2015 presents the biographical note of Mr. Waldemar Kamrat.
Waldemar Kamrat is a graduate of the Electrical Engineering Faculty at the Gdansk University of Technology and the Production Economics Faculty at the University of Gdansk. He is a titular professor in engineering and an expert in comprehensive energy. He completed an expert course of study in energy policy and efficiency in the US where he obtained a Certificate of the Institute for Young Investigators in Energy Efficiency – Berkeley / Washington DC. He has also completed a number of continuing education courses, for instance: Designing contemporary energy systems - (Reykjavík,1997, Iceland); Course for senior management in the power sector in the Gdansk Foundation for Management Education, (Gdansk, 1998) and In-company training sessions: RWE (1999-2002), EDF (2005).
He worked in industry from 1977 to 1983 at a variety of technical posts gaining managerial experience in energy management. In 1983 he was employed by what was then the Electrical Engineering Faculty at the Gdansk University of Technology (currently, the Electrical Engineering and Automation Faculty). At the Gdansk University of Technology he served from 1990 to 1997 as the manager of post-graduate courses of study in energy. Since 2001 he has been the manager of the Power Plant and Energy Management Section in the Electrical Energy Department.. From 2008 to 2012 he was the Prorector responsible for Education and Development at the Gdansk University of Technology, and from 1 September 2012 to 28 February 2015 he was the Director of the Energy Technology Center at the Gdansk University of Technology. From 1996 to 2005 he held a number of managerial positions in the management boards of energy companies, from 2004 to 2006 he was a representative of the Confederation of Polish Energy Sector Employers in the Electricity Committee of CEEP, European Centre of Employers and Enterprises providing Public Services in Brussels. He is a member of the Committee on Energy Sector Problems advising the Presidium of the Polish Academy of Science (PAN), the Editorial Board of "The International Journal of Power and Energy Systems", indexed by Cambridge Scientific Abstracts and Polish affiliate of the International Association for Energy Economics (USA).
Waldemar Kamrat has written more than 220 publications, including 4 books on the electrical energy sector, energy management and comprehensive energy.
In addition to his work at his home university he has been or is a Supervisory Board Member of Litpol Link (2008-2010), Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PSE Północ in Bydgoszcz (2010-2013), Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Pomorska Spółka Gazownictwa in Gdansk (2009-2013), Supervisory Board Member of GAZ-SYSTEM SA (2013 -2015), Member of the Strategic Economic Thought Committee advising the Deputy Prime Minister of Poland.
He sits on the Regional Energy Development Committee in the Marshal’s Office and he is an advisor to the President
The activities conducted by Mr. Waldemar Kamrat are not competitive in relation to the ENERGA Company. Mr. Waldemar Kamrat does not represent any competitive company as a shareholder of a civil partnership, partnership or as a member of any capital company authority and does not participate in any legal entity as a member of its authority. Mr. Waldemar Kamrat is not listed in the Insolvent Debtors Register, carried out pursuant to the National Court Register Act. of Employers in the Republic of Poland in the Energy Sector.
