ENERGA within WIG30 Index starting from June
As a result of a quarterly revision of the index composition conducted by the Warsaw Stock Exchange (“WSE”) ENERGA SA will be included into the WIG30 index following the trading session on 20 June.
According to the WSE Management Board decision of 12 May, ENERGA SA shares will become part of the index consisting of 30 largest and most liquid companies listed on the WSE main floor. This comes as a result of the index quarterly revision, by which the list of participants changes and share package sizes of member companies are determined.
WIG30 is a price index so transaction prices of underlying shares are only taken into account for its value calculation. The index was launched on September 23, 2013 and 30 companies ranked highest based on data of the last trading session in January, April, July and October become its participants. The ranking is set on the basis of last 12 month trading volumes and the value of free float shares as at the ranking day.
No more than 7 companies representing one industry may be included into the WIG30 index, while the share of a single company is limited to a 10% cap. Share packages of companies above these limits are being reduced.
WIG30 index will replace WIG20 Index on 31 December 2015.
