Press release - On 19 November 2012, bonds issued by ENERGA SA had their debut on the Catalyst bond market

On 19 November 2012, 7-year corporate bonds issued by ENERGA SA had their debut on the Catalyst bond market.

The debut is the result of an agreement entered into by and between ENERGA SA, Bank Pekao S.A. and BRE Bank S.A. on a program for the issuing of domestic bonds with a maximum value of PLN 4 billion. The first issue of series A 7-year bonds for a total of PLN 1.0 bn took place on 19 October 2012. Today, they have been made available on one of the Catalyst markets – the Alternative Trading System (ATS), operated by BondSpot SA.

The funds generated from the bond issue will be earmarked for such objectives as expanding and modernizing distribution networks. In accordance with the ENERGA Group Multiannual Plan of Strategic Investments through 2020, growth in the distribution segment is treated as a priority. The Group has budgeted a total of nearly PLN 12.5 bn on connecting new renewable energy installations and new energy customers, modernization of existing networks and expansion of intelligent energy networks, accounting for half of the investment outlays planned for this period. The Group's strategy to diversify funding sources assumes that costs will be met from both own funds and those received through domestic bond issues.
