ENERGA Group is a Civic Shareholding Partner
The Ministry of Treasury has launched the third edition of its 'Civic Shareholding. Invest Consciously' nationwide educational programme. In 2013 and 2014, the programme will be targeted not only at individual investors, but also – for the first time – at listed companies. Among its partners is the ENERGA Group.
'Civic Shareholding. Invest Consciously' programme is addressed to those who want to invest in the stock market as well as to listed companies with respect to their investor relations. The project has been implemented for three years by the Ministry of Treasury in collaboration with capital market institutions, brokerage houses and listed companies. The third edition of the programme aims to help companies and investors build good relations.
In this edition, offerings for individual investors will include:
- Shareholding in the Media On 24 September 2013, Poland’s public broadcaster will start airing 'Everything you want to know about the stock market'. Viewers will learn how to become investors, pick a company and buy its shares and also how to minimise the risk of loss. The programme will use simple language and an innovative formula with numerous animations.
- Classroom Training From November 2013 to March 2014, 23 free workshops will be held in Poland, which will teach participants the basics of stock market investing. During the previous two editions of the programme, 86 meetings took place, attended by 6,000 people. Subscriptions now open. Additionally, experts from brokerage houses will run training courses at selected Universities of the Third Age.
- E-Learning Platform From the beginning of 2014, the www.akcjonariatobywatelski.pl portal will offer free online courses that will teach participants the basics of stock market investing step by step using an attractive and simple formula. The first project targeted at companies was implemented on 19 September. During a conference held at the Warsaw Stock Exchange, experts from investor relations departments of large French, German and British companies told company representatives and capital market participants how to build strategies for establishing relations with individual investors, how to maintain those relations and what tools to use.
During this edition of the programme, offerings for listed companies will also include:
- Auditing companies with respect to investor relations
- Brochure – best practices for communicating with individual investors
- Guide – how to hold open days at companies
- Training courses
- The 'Individual Investor Friendly Company' programme
