ENERGA SA shares in FTSE All World Index

As a result of a half-year revision of the index composition, ENERGA shares were included into the international FTSE All World Index following the trading session on 19 September this year. The promotion is related to the transfer of company’s shares from the FTSE Global Equity Index Series, which contains Small Cap companies, to the group of Mid Cap global companies.

The criteria of qualifying company’s shares into the various indices published by London FTSE depend on market capitalization and appropriate free float level.

Shares of  mid/large cap companies from FTSE Global Equity Index Series  represents the composition of FTSE All World Index – it is 90-95% of the investable market capitalization across the globe.  FTSE All World Index is calculated for the developed and advanced emerging markets. The Index is both basis for investment products such as derivatives and the passive funds portfolios are modeled on it. Therefore, next to the MSCI Poland, the Index is an important benchmark for foreign funds investing in the Polish Company’s shares.
